Alfasado, a Japanese web-developing company, announced that they had developed “Power CMS for MT ver.2” and released it to the market.
“Power CMS” is the enterprise software and it has a high function as same as other enterprise CMS software, such as “Fatwire” and “Typo3”.
The charactersitic point of “Power CMS” is that it is developed based on Movable Type.
In Japan, Movable Type is used by many users as Content Management Systems software. In spite of that, MT’s default functions aren’t enough as a CMS.
MT hasn’t wokflow.
MT hasn’t rich data-import and export system.
MT hasn’t wysiwyg-sorting sytem.
MT hasn’t paginate function.
MT hasn’t etc,etc…
So, Alfasado developed plugin-pack for MT, to enhance CMS functions.
In Japan, some company are developing such CMS enahced-system based on Movable Type. For example, “MTCMS” developed by SKYARC System Co., Ltd,. and Genova CMS developed by Genova, Inc.
They are using Movable Type as a core system of CMS.
I heard that Movable Type is used as a community-based publishing platform, but there is another needs for MT as a CMS software.
