“Konjak” translates your MT’s entry and feed data

Understandable, but amazing... it's my first impression when I saw a plugin named "Konjak".

"Konjak" is developed for Movable Type, by ELASTIC Consultants Inc. It is provided under the BSD license.

You can download "Konjak" from the donwload page.

After uploading "Konjak", an upgrade process will start.

Of course, please continue.

Now, you have to set your default setting.

In the setting screen, you can choose a translation engine from Google or Bing. You also have to set your language environment.

(It seems if you leave an "Original Language" form, the MT's default character setting will be applied.)

Okay, now showtime. You can translate your entry's data with Konjak's synopsis.

There are two ways to translate a data.

1. Using block tags. For example;

<mt:TranslateText language="en">
   <$mt:EntryBody$>
</mt:TranslateText>

In this case, the data will be translated into a indicated language in modifier.

2.Using modifier directly. For example;

<$mt:EntryBody translate_language="en"$>

The modifier determines a translating language too.

I tried to use this plugin. At first, I made an entry data written with English.

Second, I modified an entry archive template like this;

<$mt:EntryBody$>

<b>French</b>
<mt:TranslateText language="fr">
<$mt:EntryBody$>
</mt:TranslateText>

<b>Japanese:日本語</b>

<mt:TranslateText language="ja">
<$mt:EntryBody$>
</mt:TranslateText>

Then, the result was this;

As far as seeing a Japanese translation, it is a little strange and not a right translation. Yes, the strictness of the translation depends on Google's and Bing's translating functions.

(In this sample, I chose Google's translating API.)

Though, I think it is really wonderful and terrific plugin.
